BGP routing info, RPKI validation, and global visibility for any IP, prefix, or ASN.
Look up BGP routing information, RPKI validation status, and global route visibility for any IP address, prefix, or ASN. Data sourced from RIPEstat's public API.
BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is the routing protocol that holds the internet together. It determines how traffic is routed between autonomous systems (networks). Every ISP, cloud provider, and large organization uses BGP to announce their IP prefixes and exchange routing information.
RPKI (Resource Public Key Infrastructure) is a security framework that lets IP address holders cryptographically prove they are authorized to announce specific prefixes. It prevents BGP hijacking, where an attacker announces someone else's IP space to intercept or blackhole traffic.
An RPKI-invalid route means the BGP announcement does not match any authorized Route Origin Authorization (ROA). This could indicate a misconfiguration, a more-specific hijack, or a missing ROA. Many networks filter RPKI-invalid routes, which can cause reachability problems.
Enter your IP prefix or ASN. The tool shows how many RIPEstat route collectors see your prefix and from which origin AS. Low visibility may indicate filtering, hijacking, or propagation issues.
An ASN (Autonomous System Number) is a unique identifier assigned to a network that participates in BGP routing. Examples: AS13335 is Cloudflare, AS16509 is Amazon. You can look up any ASN to see its announced prefixes and upstream providers.
